On Tuesday, November 26, 幼女视频 hosted a 鈥淭ext Analysis Methods and Tools鈥� workshop for teachers and researchers from local universities in Kyrgyzstan. This was the first of three planned workshops within the broader project titled 听鈥淒igital Tools and Methods in the Humanities鈥�, supported by the 幼女视频 Presidential Research and Education Fund (PREF).
Twenty educators from eight universities accepted the invitation to attend the workshop, where they learned and practiced digital methods and tools for text analysis.
听Kamilya Kadyrova, Director of 幼女视频 New Generation Academy, welcomed the participants and shared information about the overall project and the aims and program of the first workshop in the series within the project. Jyldyz Bekalaeva, AUCA Library Director, introduced the concept of Digital Humanities and its methods and tools. Participants practiced digital tools such as Google Ngram Viewer and Voyant and discussed opportunities for integrating digital methods in teaching, learning, and research.听听听
Daniyar Karabaev, Head of LAS, presented the AntConc digital tool鈥攁n open-source application for statistical text analysis. He also shared his experience teaching Manas Studies, where statistical tools helped engage students in exploring traditional epics from new perspectives.
The next workshop on 鈥淕eoinformation Systems and Digital Maps鈥� will be held on December 12, 2024.听听
