NGA Mentorship Program

Ìý

New Generation Academy (NGA) at the Ó×Å®ÊÓƵ (Ó×Å®ÊÓƵ) is a one-yearÌýintensive preparatory program that aims toÌýprepare students for university education andÌýprovides support to help students successfullyÌýpass the entrance exams at Ó×Å®ÊÓƵ.Ìý
The majority of NGA students come from remote regions of the Kyrgyz Republic where theÌýquality of the educational program is very low.

Some students start feeling lost during the NGAÌýprogram as they try to balance the high standardsÌýof NGA and Ó×Å®ÊÓƵ programs while they try toÌýadjust socially. Students need guidance from
peers who have successfully navigated theÌýprogram or understand the challenges that NGAÌýstudents face.

The NGA Peer Mentorship Program was designedÌýto help recent high school graduates in the transition from high school to college by providingÌýsupport, advice, encouragement, and assistance.ÌýIt helps to bolster their academic, social, personalÌýdevelopment while helping students to get theÌýmost out of their intensive preparatory program.
