Full-time faculty at Psychology Department

Position: Full-time faculty of MA in Psychology

Location: ŮƵ

Type of work: full-time, 1-year contract

Key responsibilities:

  • Teaching graduate and undergraduate courses related counseling, psychotherapy and/or research in psychology
  • Oversee of internship processes of master students
  • Service to the university and the department
  • Participation in work with stakeholders of the program: partner organizations etc.

Eligibility criteria:

  • PhD, Candidate of science, or related degree (candidates with a master-level degrees might be selected for interview in case of substantial practical or research experience)
  • Good command of English
  • Practical experience in psychology or counseling
  • Teaching experience in psychology or related fields, preferably at graduate level

Scriptwriting Instructor

The Department of Television, Film, and Media Arts at the ŮƵ is seeking a part-time faculty position for a scriptwriting instructor in English. We are looking for a highly qualified professional with practical experience in screenwriting who is willing to share their knowledge and skills with our students.

What we expect from the candidate (requirements):

  • Higher education (Master's degree) in cinematography, media communications, or storytelling;
  • Fluency in English (language of instruction);
  • Proven experience as a screenwriter (published scripts or successful projects will be an advantage);
  • University teaching experience (preferred, but not required);
  • Expert understanding of the theory and practice of screenwriting;

The TALENT program invites applications for the position of associate professor to teach a graduate level course “Employment Law” for the Fall 2025 semester. The position requires a legal specialist with expertise in employment law and demonstrated teaching experience. Fluency in English is essential as the language of instruction is English.

Development Office and Alumni Relations Assistant

Development Office and Alumni Relations Assistant is a full-time position that includes working with all Development office’s units and staff: Development Director, Development Officer, the Alumni Relations and Career Development offices. This role is a hub for providing administrative services for all of the DO units, particularly Alumni Relations, assistance with daily workflow, communication with internal departments and external partners of the university, management of the social media of the office, office management, event planning and organization, support in various development/fundraising endeavors, etc.

The successful candidate should match the following criteria:

  • bachelor degree required; major in public relations/communications/marketing is an asset;
  • full professional proficiency in spoken and written English, Russian, and professional working proficiency in spoken and written Kyrgyz is required;
  • a high level of professionalism, flexibility, enthusiasm, project management, organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • good interpersonal skills for interacting with university’s units, donors, members and volunteers;
  • experience in civic engagement is an asset;
  • excellent knowledge of MS Office software; knowledge of photoshop, illustrator is preferable; knowledge of data analysis is an asset;
  • ability to work flexible hours.

DOAR Assistant functions include, but not limited to:

  • maintaining office services by organizing office operations and procedures, answering phone calls, greeting visitors, controlling correspondence, planning and implementing equipment procurement, ordering office supplies;
  • managing paperwork, designing/maintaining filing systems;
  • coordinating appointments and meetings and managing staff calendars and schedules;
  • coordinating domestic and international travel, including flight, hotel, restaurant and car rental reservations;
  • assisting with development/fund-raising activities, such as:
  • processing gifts, donor acknowledgments and varied financial reports for the Development Department;
  • managing donor lists and preparing mailing materials (invitations, newsletters, acknowledgement letters, etc.); ensuring timely acknowledgment of contributions;
  • coordinating donor/partners visits and other activities (participates in event planning and organization, coordinates logistics, financial reporting, etc.);
  • social media activities and updates, and preparing promotional materials.

Working conditions:

Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Employee is required to sit at a desk and work at a computer for long periods of time. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs.
